Your privacy is very important to SIN. This means that your data is handled confidentially, carefully and in accordance with applicable privacy legislation. 

This privacy statement explains in more detail how SIN. handles the personal data we process from candidates (registered or working freelancers), contacts working at business relations (clients or suppliers), job applicants and website visitors. 

Purpose of processing 

By providing your data by applying for a vacancy or registering as a candidate, you consent to the processing of your data.  

SIN. processes your personal data to best provide the services offered including: permanent recruitment, interim management and executive search. We collect, process and use your data for the following purposes:   

  • Being able to assess suitability in order to mediate you to a permanent job or a temporary project 
  • Assessing availability 
  • Process and handle payments 
  • Contact you by email or phone to offer you services 
  • Introduce you as a candidate to clients and suppliers of SIN. 
  • To enter into an employment relationship or an employment placement relationship with you as a candidate and implementing and complying with the associated laws and regulations as well as personnel administration.

We process the following personal data when using our services and/or because you provide these personal data to us:

If you will be working as an interim professional through SIN. or have worked in the past, we also process the following data:

  • Citizen service number (BSN) 
  • Chamber of Commerce number

  • Copy of valid ID (passport or id card) 
  • Work permit (if applicable) 

Data of business customers and suppliers we process 

SIN. processes the following data of customers and suppliers with whom we do business: 

  • Name and contact details 
  • Function 
  • Email address and telephone number 
  • Data to conclude and maintain a business agreement 
  • Billing data 
  • Business data on creditworthiness 

Retention period 

We do not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. 

Automated decision-making 

SIN. uses automated decision-making with regard to checking the creditworthiness of our customers. We may conduct a credit check before any work is carried out. If the result of this investigation is negative, we may choose to dissolve the agreement. We may also choose, in case of poor creditworthiness, to carry out work in stages, in which case payment in advance may be a condition. 

Sharing personal data with third parties 

We only share your personal data with clients and suppliers where we introduce you as a candidate to recruit you to a permanent job or temporary project. These clients and suppliers only have access to the data they need arising from contractual obligations.  

SIN. does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. 

Cookies 

We use two types of cookies on our website: 

  • Functional cookies: The main purpose of these cookies is to save you time and effort. For example, if you customise a web page to your personal preferences or if you navigate around a website, thanks to cookies, the settings and preferences you have chosen are remembered for future use.
